Sylvia Plath.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Dare to fail gloriously.

How did you first get involved with the NCL?

In the fall of my first year of college, my advisor asked me if I was interested in giving a competition a go to learn more about cybersecurity. He gave me the link to register and I was immediately hooked as soon as the practice game started. I don’t think I left my dorm room.

What do you wish other people knew about the NCL?

We have such a wonderful community of people who all want to help each other grow and learn more about the field, everyone is very passionate, and those of us who no longer compete but are alumni/ Players Committee members are here to support you however we can.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I’ve had more surgeries than years I’ve been alive, I’m ambidextrous, and have NO sense of direction.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t working in cybersecurity?

1950s housewife.
