Hi I'm Max, I am a Chico State Alumni and a former NCL player. At Chico, I was the treasurer of the cybersecurity club, and during my time there, our best placement was second in the NCL Spring 2023 Team Game. I love cats, motorcycles, and video games. After I am done working, you can typically find me in the gym and then relaxing in my bed with my cats!

Q: What is your motto or personal mantra?

A: My personal motto, "It is what it is."Five words I have always lived by; you just gotta roll with what the universe gives you.

Q:If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

A: David Goggins, his story is inspirational and I feel like he would be an amazing mentor to learn from.

Q: What do you wish other people knew about the NCL?

A: It takes absolutely no cyber security skills to get into the NCL. My first season was before I knew a thing about cybersecurity; I enjoyed my programming classes and was interested, so I signed up. I ended up teaching myself cybersecurity going through the gymnasium and I had a blast doing it.

Q: What might someone be surprised to know about you?

A: I have nine tattoos and three piercings!

Q: What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

A: I made thumbnails for a YouTube channel that has 4.5 million subscribers.

Q: What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?

A: Japan! I have always wanted to go. I love the culture and the food and I want to experience it first hand.

Q: What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?

A: In an alternate universe I would get a degree in computer animation and game design and then go into video game development.
