This October marks the 19th anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month! According to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a “collaborative effort between government and industry to enhance cybersecurity awareness, encourage actions by the public to reduce online risk and generate discussion on cyber threats on a national and global scale."
This year, the initiative is focusing on four core objectives:
- Use strong passwords or a password manager
- Turn on multi factor authentication
- Recognize and report phishing
- Update passwords
